Chongqing, China — May 8 — On Thursday, May 8, YCIS Chongqing had the honor of welcoming representatives from the Chongqing Municipal Association of Returned Overseas Chinese.

During the visit, the visitors toured YCIS Chongqing’s state-of-the-art campus facilities. Ms. Janelle Chen, General Manager of Yew Chung Yew Wah (YCYW) Local Management Company, Chongqing, introduced the school’s history, educational philosophy, and its ongoing efforts in promoting cross-cultural understanding. A follow-up meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to engage in constructive dialogue on potential areas of collaboration. Key discussion points included support services for overseas Chinese, business and community engagement, and the development of specialized educational programs for the families of returned overseas Chinese.

This visit significantly deepened the Association’s understanding of YCIS and laid a strong foundation for future partnerships. Looking ahead, the school intends to strengthen its ties with the Association to promote Chinese culture and enhance interaction and support of overseas Chinese communities in the coming years.
