    In-School Individual Instrumental Programme (IIIP)

    What Is IIIP

The In-School Individual Instrumental Programme (IIIP) is uniquely designed for Yew Chung students to learn musical instruments during school hours.

    How It Works

IIIP works on a particular time arrangement system organised by music tutors to prevent students from clashing or missing classes of other subjects. Lessons are usually scheduled during the time of Co-curricular activities (CCA).

What Are the Advantages of IIIP

    Music Intelligence

Studies have indicated that musical training helps develop the left side of the brain and enhances one's spatial-temporal reasoning skills, leading to improved maths performance, memory span and mental development. Such training also helps boost self-confidence and imaginative thinking.

    High-Quality Tuition

IIIP is designed to provide superior tuition to YCIS students. This includes careful selection of instructors, personalised records of students' progress and integrated advice from in-school music teachers.

    Wide Range of Instruments

A range of both Western and Chinese instruments and vocal training are offered in the programme. IIIP provides an excellent opportunity to explore a second instrument.

    New Choices with Off-Peak Rate

The programme provides high-quality tuition within school hours at an "off-peak" rate. Students take lessons at a relatively lower cost.

    Convenience

Lessons begin and finish within school hours. Parents and students can enjoy a more efficient use of after-school hours for other activities.
