On Friday, March 21, our Secondary School hosted this year’s Voice Me Out Bilingual Dubbing Competition, and it was an absolute triumph! Students came together to showcase their incredible passion, creativity, and talent, making it a moment to remember.

This year’s competition was a vibrant celebration of language and culture, featuring a diverse range of movie clips. Participants had the chance to dub favorite scenes in both their native language and English, bringing iconic moments to life. From timeless classics of Traditional Chinese literature like 《三国演义》(Romance of the Three Kingdoms), 《红楼梦》(Dream of the Red Chamber), and 《西游记》(Journey to the West) to beloved Western stories such as Harry Potter, The Little Prince, Cinderella, and Matilda, the stage was set for an unforgettable showcase of talent.

The judges were blown away by the accuracy, pronunciation, and emotional depth of the performances, making it an incredibly tough decision to crown the winners. After much deliberation, the stars of the night were celebrated with roaring applause. Here are the outstanding winners:

English Awards

• Bronze: by Year 9 Coroy and Shawn

Chinese Awards

• Gold: by Year 9 Alina, Yancy, Isa and Angelina 
• Silver: by Year 9 Evelyn, Jasmine, Yueyi
• Bronze: by Year 7 Joyce, Candy, Yumi and Cherry 

The Voice Me Out Bilingual Dubbing Competition was a celebration of literature, culture, and diversity. It brought our school community together, giving students a platform to shine and connect through their love of language and storytelling.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s Voice Me Out, where even more voices will take the stage and shine!
