On Thursday Feb 13, our school had the honor of welcoming Anthony Preston, the Consul General of the British Consulate in Chongqing, along with his colleague, Raj Maan, Consul, Trade and Investment, for an inspiring visit. The visit was marked by meaningful exchanges and a deep exploration of careers in diplomacy.

The visit began with a warm welcome from our School Leadership Team, followed by a guided tour with the Secondary Student Council. Our guests engaged with students and staff, showing great interest in our learning environment.

The highlight of the visit was his captivating talk on "A Career in Diplomacy." He and Mr. Maan shared personal experiences, insights into diplomacy, and the skills required for a successful diplomatic career. Their passion for global service was contagious, leaving students not only informed but inspired to explore careers in diplomacy, foreign policy, and international leadership.

During the Q&A session, students posed thoughtful questions on global issues, foreign policy, and diplomacy. Mr. Preston’s and Mr. Maan’s insightful responses challenged students to think critically, fostering a deeper understanding of international affairs.
