    • At YCIS Chongqing, education is a shared journey between parents and the school. Starting last semester, the parent organisation has launched various parent-led activities—Tai Chi, dance, a violin workshop, and a book club—bringing warmth and energy to our parent community.

For many, the weekly Tai Chi and dance classes are a favorite “recharge moment.” During the Chinese New Year celebration, the Tai Chi and Dance Clubs performed Bright Moon Over the Heavenly Mountain to great applause. “Standing on stage while my child watched from the audience—we both saw pride in each other’s eyes,” shared one dance club parent.

The violin workshop offers a different kind of connection. From holding the bow to playing together, parents learn at their own pace, supported by encouragement rather than pressure. Meanwhile, the book club provides a quiet space for reflection, where parents gather to discuss thoughtfully chosen themes—sparking conversations about education, family, and life.

These activities reflect the YCIS philosophy: when trust and empathy grow between parents and the school, children thrive. Great education is a shared endeavour—and you are an essential part of it.
