    • YCIS Chongqing recently visited over 20 foreign-invested enterprises across Chengdu and Chongqing, spanning sectors such as manufacturing, energy, biotech, transportation, services, and education. The aim was to conduct in-depth research on the foreign business climate in Southwest China and gather valuable insights for the Southwest Chapter of the European Business in China Position Paper 2025/2026.

The interviews focused on six key areas:

      • Foreign Enterprise Development
      • Environment & Efficiency
      • HR & Talent Availability
      • Innovation and Tech Ecosystems
      • Government Support
      • Carbon Neutrality Policy Engagement

By engaging directly with business owners and senior executives, we captured authentic, on-the-ground perspectives, transforming firsthand experiences into targeted policy recommendations that can help foster a more competitive and attractive environment for foreign investment in the region.

As an active member of the European Chamber's Southwest Chapter, YCIS Chongqing is dedicated to:

      1. Connecting the business community—building a more dynamic and appealing landscape for foreign investment across the Southwest
      2. Supporting the expatriate community—making it easier for international talent and their families to settle, work, and thrive locally
      3. Empowering through education—providing world-class international schooling for the children of foreign employees and fostering strong school-enterprise partnerships

This initiative exemplifies how our school connects resources, builds community ties, and creates meaningful opportunities for students—broadening their horizons and enriching their global perspective at every turn. Moving forward, YCIS Chongqing will continue to collaborate with the European Chamber and key regional stakeholders to drive the Southwest's international development and enhance the role of education in that vision.
