The Annual Staff Appreciation Lunch arrived right on schedule, a cherished tradition of the YCIS Community. Held by our Parent Organisation, this year’s event was infused with the spirit of the Hawaiian Islands, offering our hardworking staff a delightful escape. They were treated to a sumptuous spread of global flavors, all while basking in the gentle Hawaiian breeze.
Our parents, ever the culinary magicians, crafted a menu that was nothing short of spectacular. The feast included Korean kimbap and bulgogi, succulent roasted lamb, rich Chinese braised dishes, mouthwatering Hong Kong roast meat, fluffy pancakes, savory egg fried rice noodles, crispy pizzas, tender wings, hearty sandwiches, and an array of handmade pastries and breads. To top it off, there was a delightful assortment of Western and Eastern desserts, refreshing soft drinks, and a bounty of fresh fruits. As staff members entered the Great Hall, their faces lit up with joy, and they departed with full hearts and satisfied smiles.
The event was an appreciation of our staff’s unwavering dedication. The parents seized this moment to express their heartfelt appreciation, acknowledging the continuous efforts of our staff in nurturing students’ development and progress. In a special touch, our dedicated Parent Organization (PO) personalized each staff member’s Coke can with their name, a thoughtful gesture that conveyed their boundless trust and gratitude.
We extend our deepest thanks to our brilliant PO team, who began preparations days in advance. Many parents spent hours in their kitchens, lovingly preparing dishes to share with our staff. Your tireless efforts and unwavering support turned this event into a memorable reunion, a testament to the strong bonds within our community. Thank you for making this day truly special.
