Last Friday June 6th, a group of our Secondary students embarked on an unforgettable Social Studies field trip to Nanchuan—where textbook lessons came to life in the most inspiring way.
At the historic Phoenix Temple, students traced the fascinating journey of Buddhism across China, gaining rich insights into its cultural and spiritual legacy. Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Gold Buddha Mountain, they explored the region’s remarkable biodiversity and engaged in meaningful conversations about the importance of ecological conservation.
Beyond the natural wonders and historical landmarks, students also examined how tourism fuels regional economic growth, offering them a firsthand look at the intersection of culture, environment, and development.
Throughout the journey, our students demonstrated impressive knowledge, boundless curiosity, and exemplary behavior. Their enthusiasm and thoughtful engagement made us incredibly proud—they truly embodied the spirit of our school.
This memorable trip is a shining example of the power of experiential learning. We’re excited to continue offering immersive opportunities like this that spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and inspire lifelong learning.
