YCIS Chongqing’s sports teams lit up courts and pitches this season, delivering bold performances and unforgettable moments across three major 2026 tournaments.
In Guangzhou, our basketball teams brought intensity and polish to the ACAMIS Tournament hosted by UISZ Guangzhou. The boys notched two emphatic wins and a respectable fifth place. The girls stormed through to the final, where a dramatic last‑quarter thriller saw them lose by a single point—an agonizing defeat but a magnificent runner‑up finish.
In Hong Kong, our volleyball squads turned heads at the SCISAC Tournament hosted by Hong Kong Academy, going toe‑to‑toe with The International School of Macau, Hangzhou International School, Xiamen International School and Nanjing International School. Both boys and girls played with flair and grit, each winning two matches and seven sets to storm into the playoffs. Heart‑stopping bronze‑medal matches ended in narrow defeats to seasoned rivals from Hong Kong and Macau, but our players left everything on the court.
In Shanghai, the ACAMIS Football Tournament at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi showcased exciting, attacking football from YCIS Chongqing. Facing UISZ Guangzhou, KIA Kunming, TEDA Tianjin and QSI Chengdu, both teams scored freely and grabbed two wins apiece. The girls battled into the playoffs and claimed a hard‑earned fourth place, while the boys, fighting until the final whistle, finished a close fifth—hungry for more.
We could not be prouder. These tournaments forged stronger bonds, sharpened competitive fire, and showcased exceptional sportsmanship. To every athlete, coach and supporter: your passion fuels our momentum. Bring on the next challenge.
