Our recent secondary school trips were unforgettable journeys filled with learning, service, and cultural exchange. Each year, our secondary students embark on a one-week field trip — either within the country or abroad — as a meaningful component of our curriculum that fosters real-world learning and personal growth.
Years 7 & 8 discovered adventure and self-growth in Yangshuo. They climbed limestone cliffs, cycled through scenic countryside, and built benches for a local service centre — gaining resilience, teamwork, and empathy along the way — all while unplugging from technology to focus on connection and reflection.
Years 9 & 10 travelled to Longsheng, immersing themselves in the culture of the Yao and Zhuang ethnic groups. They learned traditional crafts, supported the community through hands-on projects, and celebrated with villagers through music and dance.
This year, Years 11 and 12 undertook a meaningful service-learning trip to Manila, where they partnered with the resilient community of Tondo. They delivered donated clothes and essential life materials they had collected from Chongqing to support the local community.Students supported local feeding programs, taught in schools, and formed genuine connections with the children and families they served. These experiences challenged them to step into leadership roles, practice empathy, and reflect deeply on their responsibilities as global citizens.
From mountains to cities, these journeys reflect our mission to educate both the mind and the heart — empowering students to grow, serve, and connect with the world around them.
