On Friday, November 21, our school hosted an incredible International Food Festival that attracted over 800 attendees. With more than 100 dishes from 20 different countries, all lovingly prepared by our amazing parents and supported by 10 generous sponsors, this year’s event was another great success.
The gym was alive with excitement as guests indulged in a variety of culinary delights—from fresh starters and hearty main courses to tempting snacks and decadent desserts. YCIS parents kicked off preparations the week before, carefully gathering ingredients and creatively designing their booths.
Each display showcased the unique flavors of their countries, complete with fun themes like 80s and 90s childhood nostalgia, a whimsical Harry Potter kitchen, and even a Minecraft-inspired booth, making the festival a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.
One of the highlights of the evening was a surprise dance performance organized by our dedicated Parent Organization, adding extra fun to the festivities. Guests were thrilled, enjoying delicious food and soaking up the lively atmosphere!
As the event came to a close, our Parent Organization representatives, along with our School Leadership Team, presented each participating parent with a golden spatula to thank them for their hard work and dedication in making the festival a memorable success. It truly felt like a reunion of our YCIS community, bringing us closer together like family. We can’t wait for more chances to engage with our community in the future!
