    • The stage was set, the lights dimmed, and one by one, 51 primary school students stepped forward to share their ideas with courage, clarity, and conviction on June 8. Spanning the entire day, YCIS Chongqing’s fourth annual TEDx event highlighted the power of giving young learners ownership, guidance, and a platform to express their voices.

“Our best event yet,” said TEDx coordinator Ryan Hodgson. “A record number of students participated, ranging from students giving their first English speech to others doing it for the fourth time. I’ve seen incredible changes in students: increased confidence, communication skills, writing skills, and critical thinking skills.”

Across the day, speakers demonstrated impressive growth and strong presentation skills. From environmental action and friendship to future technology and personal dreams, each speech offered a glimpse into the creativity and thinking of young learners.

By any measure, this TEDx event is a milestone—record-breaking in size and achievement. A heartfelt congratulations to all 51 speakers, the student hosts, and everyone who helped make this record-breaking event a true celebration of student voice.
