    • Over the past two weeks our Student Support Department has introduced a new approach to support your mental health and wellbeing during this difficult time with Art Therapy activities.

Art therapy involves the use of creative techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, coloring, or sculpting to help people express themselves artistically and examine the psychological and emotional undertones in their art. These creative activities often lead to a better understanding of your feelings and behavior. Art therapy helps children, adolescents, and adults explore their emotions, improve self-esteem, manage addictions, relieve stress, improve symptoms of anxiety and depression, and cope with a physical illness or disabilities.

This Art Therapy unit has been titled Creative Healing and includes four weeks of activities with topics including Emotions, Happiness, Relaxation and Gratitude. Students have done an excellent job with their submissions and we look forward to continuing to receive more submissions in the coming weeks. Our Student Support Department is always here to help those needing additional mental health and wellbeing support. Please contact amanda.dayal@cq.ycef.com for more support and resources.
