    • Recently, our Year 6 students embarked on a series of inspiring service learning projects, demonstrating remarkable compassion and leadership. Working in small groups, they planned and led initiatives to support local charities—and made a meaningful impact along the way.

Their projects supported causes such as the Geleshan Dog Shelter, a stray cat rehabilitation programme, and the Qicong Deaf School. With creativity and teamwork, the students raised nearly 40,00 RMB through events like a bring-and-buy sale and a sponsored walk.

Driven by the school’s mission of "Love and Charity," students also created artwork to spread positive messages and brighten the school environment. One student went above and beyond by donating 150 kg of dog food to the shelter—using their own pocket money.

During a heartwarming visit to the Qicong Deaf School, the students performed a song in sign language and presented Christmas gifts to their new friends, building meaningful connections through kindness and inclusion.

Their dedication to animal welfare also led to the rescue and rehoming of a stray cat, after ensuring it received proper medical care.

These projects reflect a deep sense of empathy and responsibility. With the support of their Year 6 teachers, our students have not only made a positive impact in their community—they’ve also inspired others by showing how young people can lead with heart and make a difference.
