The Great Hall at YCIS Chongqing was brimming with excitement during the Year 6 Learning Celebration, centred around the captivating theme “Our Ever-Evolving World.” This special event highlighted the academic achievements of our Year 6 students while showcasing their creativity through a variety of performances and presentations.
The celebration opened with Wayne’s enchanting Gujan solo, filling the hall with melodies that resonated with China’s rich cultural history. Next, students strutted on a colorful catwalk, elegantly displaying traditional garments from diverse Chinese ethnic minority groups, illustrating how fashion embodies personal identity and cultural heritage.
Selena's solo dance, “The White Peacock,” captivated everyone with her graceful movements, while the group performance, “The Golden Peacock,” showcased the students' talents in dance and collaboration.
Various groups showcased their innovative projects, sharing insights gleaned from ten weeks of exploration. Their presentations demonstrated knowledge, as well as vibrancy and teamwork.
The enthusiastic support from parents created a festive atmosphere. Dr. Lynch and Miss Liu celebrated the community’s bond, emphasizing the importance of such events. This memorable celebration marked a pivotal step in students’ journeys as they transitioned to secondary education.
