We are incredibly proud to celebrate the stellar achievements of our YCIS Primary students in the prestigious American Maths Challenge 8 (AMC8)! Competing against over 300,000 students under the age of 14 from 30 countries worldwide, our young mathematicians truly shone on the global stage.

Seven of our brilliant students outperformed the global average score of 10 — a remarkable accomplishment!

      Special congratulations to:

      • Roy Wu (Year 5), who achieved a perfect score, placing in the top 5% globally — an extraordinary feat!

      • Rene Wang (Year 5), who earned a coveted spot on the Honour Roll, also placing in the top 5% globally.

      • David Tang (Year 4), set a new school record with an impressive score of 14, showcasing the exceptional talent nurtured within our primary division.

Thanks to the hard work, passion, and perseverance of our students, YCIS was awarded the School Certificate of Honour — a testament to our ongoing commitment to academic excellence.

We’re excited to see what next year holds and encourage all students to take part in this exciting challenge. It’s a fantastic opportunity to stretch their skills, gain global recognition, and have fun with maths!

Congratulations once again to all our amazing participants — you make us proud!
