The Parent Organisation of YCIS Chongqing has recently hosted two wonderful events that exemplify the strong partnership between parents and the school, showcasing the vibrant community spirit that enriches our children's educational experience.

Annual Team-Building Lunch

On September 16, the much-anticipated annual team-building lunch was held at Mimosa Italian Restaurant, uniting the dedicated parent volunteer committees. This gathering provided a fantastic opportunity for connection, collaboration, and celebration among members of the Parent Organisation (PO), Year Group Representatives, and the Food Committee.

With inspiring speeches from Western Co-Principal Mr. Pierce Wise and Chinese Co-Principal Ms. Jessie Xiao, the event highlighted the power of collective dedication. Attendees engaged in a lively team game that tested their creativity and collaboration, followed by a brainstorming session to enhance the planning for this year’s events.

Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

Building on this momentum, the Parent Organisation hosted another meaningful event on September 24 in the school's Great Hall, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival. This gathering was enriched by the participation of SPD Bank's Chongqing branch, which brought a delightful Guzheng performance, along with exquisite Chinese tea and desserts.

Parents enjoyed an intangible cultural handcraft workshop, where they made beautiful fabric flowers, adding a splash of color and creativity to the event. Additionally, a wealth management lecture delivered by SPD Bank representatives was well-received, providing valuable insights for our parent community.

A Stronger Community Together
