Bidding farewell to the Snake, we gallop into the Year of the Horse! Across ECE, Primary, and Secondary, our community came together to celebrate the Chinese New Year with joy, tradition, and plenty of fun.
ECE: Stay & Play – A Taste of Togetherness
Our ECE Stay and Play event was all about warmth and wonder. Families tried their luck at pitch-pot and ring toss, co-created a “100 Blessings” artwork, and cheered in horse racing games. Little ones shoveled good fortune, rocked festive face paint, and gathered around steaming dumplings—filling the campus with the sweet taste of reunion.
Primary: House Fun Fair – Play Meets Tradition
Primary students dove into a House-themed carnival. From crafting lucky lanterns and painting opera masks to racing in relay hurdles and trying ancient games like pitch-pot and ring toss, every moment was a joyful blend of culture, teamwork, and giggles.
Secondary: Galloping into the New Year Gala – A Home-School Extravaganza
Secondary’s annual gala was a dazzling fusion of East and West. Students wowed the crowd with song, dance, and drama; Chinese and international teachers teamed up for a graceful Chinese dance; and parents stunned with a Tai Chi performance. It was a true celebration of talent, unity, and our vibrant school spirit.
Wishing you a Year of the Horse filled with success, joy, and togetherness! Happy Chinese New Year from YCIS Chongqing!
