On Friday afternoon, December 12, YCIS Chongqing’s Winter Wonderland shone brightly, bringing the community together in a joyful celebration that welcomed over 800 participants, including parents, teachers, children, prospective families, and friends. Beneath the watchful glow of the Star of Bethlehem, surrounded by pinecones, Christmas trees, and holly, everyone reveled in the festive spirit.
In true YCIS tradition, our school choir and orchestra filled the air with enchanting Christmas carols as steaming hot chocolate and delightful treats lifted our spirits. Participants dived into a whirlwind of festive games, such as snowman fishing, frisbee, mini-bowling, and golf. This year, our secondary students took the initiative to host an artwork auction. To everyone’s delight, our very own Santa Claus appeared, bringing a sack full of gifts for the children, eliciting gasps and laughter.
The school also set up a special donation booth to raise funds for the fire victims in Hong Kong. In a heartfelt gesture, our students penned their best wishes on postcards and placed them in a mailbox to send goodwill to those in need.
As snowflakes gently fell, we sang joyful songs and exchanged heartfelt festival wishes, eagerly counting down to the lighting of our magnificent Christmas tree. In this magical celebration, we sang, danced, and shared warm wishes, creating unforgettable memories.
Special thanks to the YCIS Cafeteria and Chongqing Corad Hotel for providing delicious treats that added a sweet taste to our gathering. As we reflect on these joyful festivities, we extend our heartfelt wishes for joy and warmth to everyone in our cherished community. Happy holidays!
