The beauty of Chinese came alive on April 30th! Our Primary Department hosted "Hearing the Beauty of Chinese" — a Chinese Day full of rhythm, emotion, and heart.
The event opened with an adorable recitation of Little Artists in the Snow by our K4 children, melting everyone's hearts. Then, year by year, students took the stage with confidence: Year 1 painted the four seasons through poetry; Year 2 performed lively, joyful nursery rhymes; and upper-year students brought timeless classics like Invitation to Wine to life with passion and grace.
Then came the surprise of the day — a video of our Chinese and Western Co-principals reciting poetry together. Their warm performance moved the audience and showed our students what it truly means to love the language.
After the recitations, parents gathered in the hallway to admire students' Chinese work displays — a quiet but powerful window into their learning journey.
This "Chinese Day" gave students a chance to show themselves. More importantly, through the sound of reciting, they truly heard and understood the beauty of the Chinese language.
