    • Year 3BZ is back in action after a relaxing Spring Festival holiday. The students returned to school with warm hearts and smiling faces, eager to continue their learning.

During the week of February 26 to March 2 in Mathematics, students reviewed data handling processes and procedures. First step was to get out of the classroom and into the lovely Chongqing weather. On Tuesday, armed with clipboards, pencils, frequency charts and good attitudes, the students ventured into the car park to record the number of different colored cars. They documented the color of cars in front of the main gate, behind the canteen and in the lot by the gym. Students completed their frequency charts and answered questions with the data they gathered. Oh, a joy it was to be learning outside!

The following day, the students used their data from the frequency charts to create bar graphs. After reviewing terms such as axis, grid, label, range and scale, the students had a great time constructing neat and precise bar graphs.

Upon completing the bar graphs, the students interpreted the data by writing questions to share with each other. All students showed their understanding of recording data, transferring it to a graph and then interpreting it through question. What a fantastic week of Mathematics! There was truly much rejoicing!
