    • On November 4, YCIS Chongqing welcomed a visiting Greenland delegation whose occupations ranged from finance, to sustainable energy, to fish trade.

The delegation worked closely with our Upper Secondary and Year 7 Humanities classes who had many insightful questions about Greenland and the responsibilities of its government officials. The focus of the visit was to allow the students to learn about the cultural diversity around the world and see the different ways of life from an area of the world they know little about as they are not well versed in the northern areas of Europe.

The day was a great success with the only complaint from our Upper Secondary students being that there was not enough time for them to ask all the questions that they had! Sincere thanks to the Greenland Delegation for sharing their expertise and experience with our students who can now make even more informed decisions about their futures and also learn more about the great diversity around the world.

We believe our students had benefited a lot from this meaningful and informative class, and we will constantly seek opportunities to encourage the development of global mindedness!
