On March 30, at the end of one of the busiest months in the YCIS Chongqing calendar, students from years 1 to 13 gathered in the Great Hall to celebrate the annual YCIS Science Fair. The journey started in early September, when the Science Department gathered to brainstorm how to make this year's fair better than ever. In the following months, 93 projects were imagined, researched, investigated and concluded by students from Years 6 to 13. From projects on the science of bottle flipping, to how best to make ice cream with dry ice, the imagination shown by the students was exceptional.

On the day of the event, it was a sight to see the Great Hall filled with parents, teachers and students all talking about science. Despite all the work needed by teachers and students, the final science displays were of high quality all-around. It was a testament to the hard working attitude of our students in the months and weeks leading up to this event (including some very late nights by a few individuals in the days beforehand). We would like to thank all those who took the time to come and talk with the students about their work. They greatly appreciated your questions and interactions with them. This event was truly one to remember and we are incredibly proud of the fantastic students at YCIS Chongqing. We look forward to another great Science Fair next year.
