    • To celebrate Europe Day (the birthday of the European Union), The European Chamber of Commerce hosted an elegant celebration in the newly built Swiss Technopark. In order to further add to the chic atmosphere, they invited two music ensembles from YCIS Chongqing; the small ensemble and the Community Choir.

Our small ensemble includes Hayeon Yang on cello, Eunseo and Zhao Laoshi on violin, Joe Wang and Alice Yin on flute. They played a number of incidental music pieces that gave the party a truly European atmosphere.

The Community Choir sang a Madrigal, which is a type of song that flourished in Europe during the 1500’s, they also sang a classic Chinese song to blend East and West together. The crowd was very appreciative of their lush harmonies and emotive use of dynamics and blend.

As always, YCIS ensembles take much pride from supporting the local community.
