    • October saw the end to the first of our ‘learning topics’ this year in most ECE and Primary classes. Learning Communities have been opening their doors and invited the parents to come and see what they had been learning.

Learning Communities were delighted to see so many parents take the opportunity to see all the progress the students had made since the beginning of the year, not just academic progress, but all-round growth and development.

Positive connections between parents and school have been shown to improve children’s academic achievement, social competencies and emotional well-being. When parents and teachers work as partners, children ’do better’ in school and at home.

Various activities were on display, violin performances, presentations and quizzes, even the opportunity to explore the campus using a map and find the treasure! These sharing sessions not only allow our parents to see the classrooms and look at their child’s books, it also develops confidence and motivates the students to share work they are most proud of.

We look forward to providing more opportunities to ‘share the learning’ throughout the year and look forward to seeing our parents back on campus soon to see more wonderful work.
