Sharing information about school procedures and policies is key to forming strong and positive relationships with parents. The first of such sessions took place on campus last week from August 26-28.
The relationship between home and school is critical for student success and to support that, our teachers prepared lots of information about the Learning Community. So, while the students were taken to enjoy some activities led by our CCP providers, our parents were able to focus on what their child will experience in their new year group.
Parents had the opportunity to find out a little more about the teachers and their backgrounds, while others started the session with games and much laughter! The session provided parents with information about the curriculum, along with the many and varied teaching approaches used within the Learning Community environment. From behaviour expectations, to timetables and homework, there was a lot of information to take in, but our parents don’t need to remember it all as each presentation will be posted on Class Dojo so it can be referred back to at a later date.
Thank you to those parents who were able to attend the sessions. We look forward to sharing more information about our school over the coming year and providing you with lots of opportunities to see what your child is learning through our ‘Learning Talk’ documents and seeing their progress throughout the year by attending our ‘Parent Sharing sessions’.
