At YCIS Chongqing we are busily preparing ourselves to be "August ready" so when the gates reopen on August 17, the school will be ready to receive both new and existing students to our campus.
The School continues to collaborate with the local government to help teachers who are currently out of China to come back as quickly as possible. We are delighted to announce that on Tuesday, final approval was granted to allow our first batch of teachers to return from Korea and Thailand. In the meantime, we have recruited new members of staff who will act as specialist cover supervisors, so if an English lesson is being delivered, by a teacher who is outside China, the students will also have an English specialist in the classroom. This arrangement will be applied to all subjects in our programme. It is our aim to provide the students with the highest level of support so their progress is maintained, and further success can be achieved.
Another highlight of the summer is our renovation projects throughout the campus, from the painting and cleaning of rooms and hallways to new furniture added into classrooms along with many displays of celebrating students learning around campus. These new and improved additions not only showcase the vitality of the learning environment but also reflect the quality of learning in the school.
As a school, we have identified key priorities that we will be aiming to achieve over the next academic year, which will be shared with you soon. We look forward to partnering with our wonderful students and families as a new and exciting academic year begins.
See you all in August!
