YCIS Chongqing held the annual ‘New Student Orientation’ event on Friday, August 16 to welcome new families to the YCIS community in readiness for the 2019-20 academic year.

Over 70 new students from 50 families attended this event and had the opportunity to meet all their teachers ahead of their first school day. We expect some were overwhelmed by the volume of school information delivered but all our new students engaged fully in all the activities offered.

Many of the parents and students were attracted by the YCIS Alumni booth where they were introduced to the idea of an alumni and received brochures, a wish form and the opportunity to speak with our teachers and alumni coordinator. We introduced YCIS alumni network and the range of benefits in being a member of YCIS alumni. Parents and students were encouraged to scan the QR code to join and take photos to celebrate before leaving the event.

A new academic year has begun and we wish everyone a happy and fruitful school year!
