YCIS Chongqing recently achieved reaccreditation from the prestigious Council of International Schools (CIS) in June. The reaccreditation process involved a comprehensive evaluation of the school's operations, including triangulating the school’s self-study report, stakeholder interviews, and lesson observations.
CIS International Accreditation works on a five-year cycle, YCIS Chongqing was first accredited as a CIS school back in 2017, following which the school continued its five-year development journey. This year, we welcomed our second validation process and gained the reaccreditation which proves that we have one of the highest educational, leadership and administration standards among international schools around the world.
CIS International Accreditation is a rigorous school-wide evaluation process that measures alignment with internationally benchmarked standards and provides guidance for continuous improvement. Through their achievement of these standards, CIS-accredited schools have been verified as delivering high-quality international education focused on the development of knowledge, skills, and attributes necessary to prepare students as global citizens.
CIS International Accreditation is recognised by ministries, departments of education, and universities worldwide. Students educated at CIS-accredited schools are sought after by universities due to the rigour of their international education and their preparation for life no matter where their paths may take them.
As an international school in Chongqing, we are proud to share this great news with our community; this achievement is a milestone in our school’s 22-year development. We will continue to strive to provide the highest quality of education to our students and we hope to share future achievements with you in the years to come.
