    • Last week, our school was buzzing with Primary and ECE learning celebrations, with parents from each year level taking part in our Bilingual Learning Communities and witnessing their children's learning achievements.

In Primary, Week 10 marked the conclusion of the first inquiry units across Primary Bilingual Learning Communities. The highlight was our learning celebration, where children showcased their learning to parents and visitors. It was a gratifying experience for us to see the children proudly sharing their accomplishments through the planned stages of inquiry.

The first theme for the academic year centered around "Past and Present" across our Bilingual Learning Communities. Year 1 delved into family and the immediate local community, while Year 2 explored Chongqing, our local community. Year 3 investigated the local community in China, Year 4 examined China's global position, and Year 5 explored economic, migration, and resource issues globally. Year 6 focused on our roles as global citizens. The theme of "past and present" remained consistent across Primary, but the depth varied appropriately by year level, from the local to the global community.

Last week, parents also entered their children's ECE classrooms, actively engaging in a range of learning activities and gaining firsthand insight into our emergent curriculum. Their hearts swelled with pride at the remarkable progress made by our ECE children.

A big thank you to our parents, students, and teachers. Here's to our continued success on this educational adventure together. Your support makes our learning community shine.
