The 2025 ACAMIS Purple Division Basketball Championship, held at Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi, presented a dual narrative of skill and resilience. Yew Chung International School of Chongqing, competing alongside TEDA Tianjin, UISZ Guangzhou, QSI Chengdu, and Kunming International Academy, left a significant mark with their exceptional performance.
Under the mentorship of coaches Erick Enriquez and Shawn Liu, the boys' team faced a daunting task, entering a physically demanding Under-19 tournament with an Under-15 squad. Despite the odds, they displayed unparalleled courage, leaving a profound impression through their determination and teamwork, serving as a wellspring of inspiration for all attendees.
Concurrently, the girls' team, guided by coaches Winnie Yang and Luca Sorrentino, delivered outstanding performances, emerging undefeated to secure the championship. Their journey was marked by fierce competition in every match, met with unwavering resilience and cohesion. This historic triumph not only underscored their tireless efforts but also highlighted the steadfast support provided by their coaches, who stood united at every juncture.
