YCIS Chongqing proudly participated in the 2026 YCYW School Games, hosted by the YCYW Beijing Yizhuang Campus. Over three days, our students competed alongside more than a dozen schools from across the YCYW Foundation.
We entered four teams—Primary Boys, Primary Girls, Secondary Boys, and Secondary Girls—and delivered one of our strongest performances in recent years, with many squads reaching playoff-level competition.
The Games began with Primary football and Secondary basketball. Our Primary Girls finished as runners-up, placing second behind YCIS Beijing. Primary Boys faced tough opponents but demonstrated determination and scored several excellent goals. In Secondary basketball, YCIS Chongqing won the championship after an unforgettable final against YCIS Shanghai Pudong. Trailing late in the match, the team scored eight consecutive points in the final 90 seconds to win by a single point. The Secondary Boys Basketball team finished 5th and ended with an impressive victory over YW Yantai.
Day Two included Primary handball and Secondary football. The Primary Boys placed 5th and the Primary Girls finished 6th. In Secondary football, Girls placed 5th after a final-match win, while Boys finished 6th.
On the final day, rain cancelled Primary Track & Field, replaced by dodgeball. Secondary Boys handball and Secondary Girls volleyball concluded the event, with Boys finishing 4th and Girls earning silver behind YCIS Beijing. MVP awards highlighted outstanding individual performances. Congratulations to all teams, and we look forward to building on this success ahead.
