On Thursday, April 10, our campus warmly welcomed 50 curious and enthusiastic students and teachers from the International Trilingual School of Warsaw, Poland. The day was filled with music, laughter, learning, and a meaningful celebration of cultural exchange.
The visit began with a warm greeting from our School Leadership Team, followed by enchanting performances from the YCIS Choir and Small Ensemble, featuring both French and Chinese songs. Our talented Primary students also delighted the audience with a beautiful violin performance, setting a joyful tone for the day ahead.
Following the welcome ceremony, our guests dove right into campus life. Partnering with student buddies, they visited both Primary and Secondary classrooms, actively participating in lessons and sharing ideas. A standout moment was the YCYW Chinese Studies Programme—" Chinese Five-Minute Classic." This short session was like a window, offering the Polish students and teachers a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Chinese culture. Throughout the visit, the atmosphere was vibrant and filled with friendly interactions, as students from diverse backgrounds connected through stories, music, games, and shared experiences.
This visit was a valuable opportunity for all students to deepen their understanding of cultural diversity. For our guests, it offered a firsthand experience of Chinese culture; for our students, it was a chance to engage with international peers and broaden their global perspectives.
On this visit, our school and the International Trilingual School of Warsaw signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen Sino-Polish cooperation. This agreement represents a significant step forward in cultural exchange, educational collaboration, and resource sharing between the two schools. On Sunday, April 13, students and teachers from several schools across the Chongqing came together at YCIS Chongqing for a vibrant cultural showcase. The event celebrated the deep and growing friendship between China and Poland in a unique and spirited way.
Cross-cultural exchange is one of the key initiatives at our school, and we are committed to fostering educational integration and promoting cultural understanding between China and the world.
