    • A two-day conference was hosted across all Yew Chung and Yew Wah campuses on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th March, with 21st Century learning approaches the focus of this important professional development opportunity.

All educators are expected engage in ongoing learning, just like their students, as evident in our pursuit of ‘life-long learning’. At YCIS Chongqing, we are continually discussing and reviewing our approaches to learning with our students always considered as central to any developments. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is essential to ensure that we prepare our students for the challenges of the future. The Yew Chung Education Foundation is extremely proud to have had the opportunity, over an eighty-five year period, to have prepared thousands of students for life beyond the safety of the school environment, across campuses in China, Hong Kong and the USA.

Over the two days of the conference at YCIS Chongqing, professional development activities provided discussion forums on topics appropriate for Early Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary teachers.

On Saturday, all staff viewed the presentations of renowned Keynote Speakers recorded from the YCIS Hong Kong campus on the previous day. These presentations covered topics including utilizing technology advancements to enhance learning, differentiation in a Learning Community and the exploration of learning in Early Childhood Education. Our staff viewed the presentations and reflected on each topic in a round table format before sharing with the whole staff.

At YCIS Chongqing, we continue to strive for the development of contemporary learning programmes, providing optimal learning experiences for your children.
