    • At YCIS, there are a lot of wonderful events going on within each school year, but without question, the International Food Festival organised by our Parent Organisation is the most popular! With over 26 countries from all continents represented, our fantastic Parent Organisation always provides students, staff and parents the opportunity to allow their taste buds to tour around the world.

On March 12, we welcomed hundreds of students, parents, and staff into the school canteen to enjoy a different style of lunch! This year we expanded our focus from merely a fundraising effort to a true culinary for our students, giving everyone an opportunity to try a variety of international cuisines. By charging a single entry fee, children had the freedom to explore all the foods available. Students were challenged to earn six “stamps” on their ticket for healthy food before they could receive dessert. Throughout the festival there was a lot excitement from everyone eager to try new foods, including some they had never heard of before.

It is always great to see so many parents passionate about representing their country, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved. Special thanks go to Emily Rogers, Shannon Kammerzell and Eunice Ahn, and all the organising volunteers. It was a fantastic event and we look forward to this much loved event!
