    • Our Class of 2020 had lots to celebrate when their results were issued in June, a second year exceeding the global average, another 100% pass rate and 100% achieved a bilingual diploma. However, YCIS Chongqing along with many other school’s around the globe felt their students still deserved more and we asked the IB to review student results to ensure they reflected our students’ abilities and potential.

On Tuesday, the IB released a statement outlining a change to their results process, We are writing to update you on the Diploma Programme (DP) results review and the changes we are introducing after carefully analysing the data and evidence schools have submitted”. These changes have supported many teacher predictions and have allowed most students to receive the grades they and our teachers thought they deserved.

The results for our Class of 2020 look even better than they did before, we are very proud of what they have achieved and would like to share some key headlines from their updated results:

      • Highest Diploma score – 39 points out of 45
      • Average IB Diploma score – 35 points out of 45. This significantly exceeds the global average of 29.9.
      • The mean grade achieved by our students was 5.53 points out of 7

Congratulations to the Class of 2020, we wish you all the very best for the future!
