"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” – Victor Frankl
It has been heartwarming to read and view the positivity in our community during the e-learning activities, which have been shared by students, parents and teachers over the past four weeks. It is indisputable that the YCIS community continues demonstrate enormous resilience during this challenging time! We are witnessing, on a daily basis, the extraordinary feats performed by families, wherever they are sheltering, as we all work to develop skills in different ways.
Cooking is one of humanities greatest gifts, whether you love to cook or not, as eating a balanced diet is essential to a healthy body and vital in building immunity to fight disease, not to mention that ‘a healthy body is essential for a healthy mind’ as we are all consumed by ‘e-learning’, at this moment.
Armed with all kinds of cooking apps, for some recipe inspiration, and some ingredients in the pantry and fridge, families are ‘cooking up a storm’ in order to delight hungry families, without being able to stroll down the street to that family favourite restaurant. So, our parents are booting up their iPads and rolling up their sleeves in the kitchen to create culinary masterclasses to put smiles on the faces of sons, daughters and spouses.
Stay close, stay safe and stay happy!
