    Overview

Yew Chung International School of Chongqing (YCIS Chongqing) is renowned for offering one of the most progressive and globally-minded programmes of international education in China.

Established in 2001, YCIS Chongqing is the first international school registered with the Ministry of Education in Chongqing. The school serves the needs of Chongqing's expatriate community with outstanding education across a broad spectrum ranging from early childhood to secondary education. We offer a distinctive education programme in a bilingual and multicultural environment. In this unique environment, we are committed to extending opportunities for our students to achieve academic and all-round excellence in their journey towards lifelong learning.

YCIS Chongqing, which caters to the expatriate community, plays a role in the city’s effort to upgrade its investment environment. In early May of 2010, the Central Government approved Chongqing's plan to set up a state-level development zone, which is designated as the gateway of China's western region. The new zone, in which YCIS Chongqing is located, is significant in attracting overseas investment. Situated in the Chongqing International School Garden, the school is strategically located between the airport and the city centre with easy access. State-of-the-art campus facilities support a comprehensive bilingual education programme at YCIS Chongqing.

The design of our programmes and administration system integrates unique elements that are fundamental to the school's overall operations. Our Chinese and Western Co-Principals seamlessly work together to create a school culture where Eastern and Western values and education models are equally regarded by the whole school community.
