  • SCISAC Basketball

    Over May 5-9, YCIS Chongqing took part in the final SCISAC (Southern China International Schools Athletic Conference) tournament of the year. The Basketball Tournament was hosted by Ivy Collegiate Academy, in Taichung, Taiwan and included five other international schools from Southern China (Hong Kong Academy (HKA), The International School of Macau (TIS), Ivy Collegiate Academy (ICA) in Taiwan, Xiamen International School (XIS) and Nanjing International School (NIS)). It once again proved to be a fantastic experience for players, coaches and all involved.

  • Fun in the Sun!

    At YCIS Early Childhood Education (ECE), nurturing, play-based, and multicultural environment is provided to ensure that each young learner’s unique interests and curiosities flourish. And we help children discover the joy of learning. Look! The recent warm and sunny weather in Chongqing has brought some excitement to the ECE playground, and the children are taking advantage of it!   • Impressive Results at ACAMIS Soccer Tournament

    With only three weeks preparation, our high school boys and girls were off to Chengdu to represent YCIS Chongqing in the ACAMIS Silver Division soccer tournament from April 14 – 17. Despite the fact that our teams had no match practice and limited time to bond as a team, they still managed do YCIS proud and play a number of excellent matches.

  • Science Fair Week

    Boom! Our campus courtyard shook with the sound of a firework demonstration by our senior Secondary Chemistry class. In the past week, engaging experiments ranging from methane balloon combustion to metal reactions with water have aroused students' interest in the fields of Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, culminating to the Science Fair exhibition on Friday afternoon in our Great Hall.

  • Successful University Fairs

    For most of our students, a university education is the next natural step in their lives as international scholars. Thus, finding the right college that fits, in terms of location, culture, academics, etc., is an extremely important part of the latter end of secondary school. To help our students in their search for a school that truly fits them, YCIS Chongqing hosted two university fairs presented by Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) and Linden Educational Services (LES) on March 8 and 17. Admissions officers from around 40 universities provided students, parents, and staff with useful information and real insight on liberal arts colleges and their admissions processes and gave many students their first serious look at their academic future.

  • ACAMIS Swimming Tournament

    From March 17–20, YCIS Chongqing had the pleasure of sending the first swimming team to a competitive swimming event. The event was co-hosted by Suzhou Singapore International School (SSIS) and Dulwich College Suzhou (DCSZ) in Suzhou and was held across two days. A total of 10 students were sent to the event, competing in three, four and some five events across the two days.
