Over the last few weeks, Year 1 students have been focusing upon the GCLP of Risk Taking. On Monday, Mar 26, Year 1s performed a play written by their teachers called, ‘Welcome to Earth’, which told the story of two aliens who crash land in China.

During the journey to find their rocket again, the two aliens meet new people and explore new locations, all the while learning to take risks together. The play was led by the students who spoke their lines in English and performed many choreographed songs together.

The assembly ended with a big round of applause from students, teachers and parents who enjoyed the performance. The experience of learning lines and songs, rehearsing together and performing allowed our Year 1 students to grow in both creativity and confidence.
