    • On January 29, our ECE students are invited to showcase their focus of learning on the YCIS Global Citizenship Learner profile – “Inquisitive” in the monthly assembly. All of our young singers and dancers were so engaged in the stage performance and won a great round of applause from the audience!

In YCIS ECE, most of the learning revolves around curiosity, and being inquisitive is highly encouraged. We love it when the children ask questions, and show what they are interested in. Being inquisitive is actually the foundation of the ECE emergent curriculum – as teachers we observe our children’s curiosity and questions, and include them in our weekly program, linking them to any learning outcomes we are aiming to cover.

In this assembly, we have used songs and videos to capture a little bit of the ECE curiosity, and the way that we as teachers connect that curiosity to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, and our own YCIS ECE program.
