    • On Thursday, May 23, 2019, the Year 5 Learning Community presented their Chengdu class trip learning celebration in the Great Hall. Beginning at 10.30 a.m., each year level from Year 1 to Year 6 was able to visit the Great Hall for a class period and take part in the various activities the Year 5 Learning Community had created based on the activities that took place while in Chengdu.

There were a total of eight stations with different activities. Every student was able to collect a stamp from each station, and at the end of the visit, if the student had enough stamps, he or she was awarded a prize. The stations included displays and activities about Wu Hou Ci Temple, Chengdu Panda Base Research Center, Ocean World, and traditional tea ceremony.

The entire celebration displayed the hard work and effort the students put forth to make the event happen. More importantly, it displayed the students’ learning from the Chengdu trip and throughout the year. Students, teachers and parents thoroughly enjoyed the event. The Year 5 Learning Community should be proud of their hard work.
