    • In order to prepare our students for their pathways into IGCSE and IB programmes of study and help to guide them in the right direction for their future career aspirations, YCIS Chongqing held an Options Evening on Wednesday January 23 in The Great Hall.

All Year 9 and Year 11 students, along with their parents were invited and encouraged to attend this options evening. It was a great opportunity for both students and parents to ask questions that will enable them to make the most appropriate subject choices for their future. Year 9 students will be entering their IGCSE studies in the coming academic year, and this is the first time subject selection requires them to think about their future studies and career options. The Year 11 students will be facing challenges in the upcoming two years of their IBDP studies, and this pre-tertiary qualification is completed by thousands of students in hundreds of countries across the globe. Students gaining an IB Diploma are valued by universities and employers all over the world.

Teachers from across all subject areas were available at this information session to provide guidance and advice to support students in making their important decisions. There were also some general information sessions on the IGCSE programme led by Mr Parras Majithia (IGCSE Co-ordinator) and Mr Will Vincent (IBDP Co-ordinator).

We also provided students with an option booklet which features information about all the courses on offer at YCIS Chongqing in Upper Secondary School. We wish our students the best in their futures studies!
