    • The end of last week was a time to celebrate with our students as we recognized the efforts of our IGCSE and A Level Class of 2018! As part of the Secondary Assembly, the IGCSE class (now in Year 12) were presented with their official certificates. These are a permanent record of the grades they were awarded with, and also a message of aspiration to our current Year 11 and 10 students, who are in the midst of their studies for these important qualifications.

The IGCSE cohort achieved 99.1% of all grades at A*-G, 21.4% grades A or A*, and 70.1% at A*-C. By comparison, GCSE grades in the UK showed an overall A*-G pass rate of 66.9%, and 20.5% A or A*. We would like to highlight the following students for special mention

      • Soyoon Bae– 100% A*-B
      • John Leano, Yoo Jung Shin, Liam Lisu and Yuna Oh – 100% A*-C

In addition, we would like to congratulate our Chinese department, who supported students to achieve 88% A*-A, with 75% of all Mandarin Chinese grades being awarded as A*!

The majority of the IGCSE Class of 2018 have chosen to join the IB Diploma Programme and are rising to the challenge of this widely recognized international qualification.

Our outgoing Year 13s leave a legacy of being the final ever A-Level cohort. The 3 students performed commendably, achieving 100% A*-C grades, and 44% A*-B. These outcomes compare favourably to the UK average where 78.4% of all entries were graded A*-C and 97.6% of students passed with grades A*-E. We are very proud of our students, with special congratulations going to Lee Hahun who achieved 100% A*-B. All of our A-Level Class of 2018 set out to their various institutions of higher learning around the world, we wish them all the best with their future study and careers!

We would like to put on record our congratulations to our students, as we enjoy supporting them in the next phase of their education. In addition, a huge thanks goes out to all staff who helped students to prepare for their examinations, as well as the significant support that parents and families afford.

We look forward to receiving our inaugural IB results in July 2019, as well as IGCSE Results in August 2019!
