As the 2018-2019 school year approaches, we are excited to welcome an enthusiastic and highly experienced group of educators to the YCIS Chongqing teaching team! Not only do these new staff bring additional expertise in their respective fields but will also contribute new ideas and experiences to the learning programme. Our teaching team is committed to providing an international learning experience that prepares our students for the challenges they will face in the future.

Over the past week, our new staff have undertaken an orientation programme, which has included a range of workshops and activities. Learning Chinese is an important life skill our teachers require in order to interact within the community and navigate around the city and beyond. They were certainly challenged during the first Chinese workshop, where it became apparent that conversational language will be a vital tool to support their adventures in this new environment!

The 2018-2019 academic year promises a year of exploration as all our staff and students will strive to achieve to their potential. With the newly renovated facilities, which include the development of learning community spaces in primary, we are confident that we offer an improved safety level in the playground and sports facilities and a capacity to explore new learning opportunities. We seek a caring, stimulating and positive school environment where everyone feels valued, respected, safe and experiences success. Our staff will continually evaluate and differentiate learning activities to cater to all students.
