YCIS Chongqing is proud of its growing alumni! Graduates from the class of 2016 were accepted into top programmes at universities like Northwestern University and Washington University in St. Louis in the United States, as well as University of Toronto and University of Waterloo in Canada. In addition, one of our 2016 graduates has earned eight A* on the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and all A and A* in his A Level exams. Previous YCIS Chongqing alumni have been accepted into prestigious universities like Oxford, UCLA, and Stanford.
Our commitment to education and our ability to tailor instruction to meet the needs of a growing, diverse body of students is demonstrated in our external exam result. Our learning approach and examination results have earned YCIS Chongqing recognition from Cambridge International Examinations and YCIS Chongqing is an official CIE-endorsed testing centre.
Here are some figures from last year:
Our Year 11 students received wonderful IGCSE results last semester and we are proud of them. For the second straight year, YCIS Chongqing has exceeded most other international schools in China in results. In IGCSE, students are given grades from A* to G, with an A* being the highest grade possible. In over 50 separate exams, nearly all results (96.2%) of our students are A* to C (a C being comparable to a B on a normal 5 point grading scale), with 70% of the results being either an A or an A*. Year 11 student William Ouyang topped the list earning A* in all eight separate subjects. All students are commended on their outstanding efforts and results.
In addition to YCIS Chongqing being a University of Cambridge IGCSE and A level testing centre, we are proud to be a licensed SAT testing centre for students entering American schools.
