IGCSE Programme (Years 10-11)

At Key Stage 4, all students embark upon a two-year programme of study leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations. These examinations form a bridge between Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 5.

All students take a combination of core subjects as well as a number of non-core subjects. The examinations are taken at the end of Year 11. During the IGCSE years, their particular interests and strengths vary across a variety of subjects.
A select group of students can opt out of English Literature.

The core subjects in Key Stage 4 are:

  • English Language and Literature
  • Chinese Language
  • Mathematics
  • Co-ordinated Science

The optional subjects in Key Stage 4 are:

  • Art
  • Geography
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Music
  • Physical Education
