On the cold Chongqing morning of November 18, the Secondary students embarked on their three-day camp at Hotel Sea and Sky, 50 minutes from the city.
The aim of the camp was for the students to complete a variety of activities that would take them on a journey to develop their leadership and teamwork skills. In teams of five, the students participated in trust games and team building activities, made rafts in hot pools; completed confidence courses and night scavenger hunts, and went on a steep three-hour hike in the surrounding mountains. As a team they had to look after and carry five eggs anywhere they went, putting their organisational and teamwork skills to the test. The students were so enthusiastic. Many of them even attended an 11 p.m. night fitness programme to earn more points for their team! Both the students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed the camp and got to know each other out of the classroom. |
