Early Childhood Education

The Early Childhood Education starting from infant and toddler (age 2) focuses on nurturing the holistic development of children's potential and abilities with emphasis on intellectual and sensory enrichment. The core curriculum is thematically designed with a fusion of various subjects conveyed in a multicultural and dual language environment through games and structured activities, which will enhance children's capability to decode information generated from their everyday life. In hopes of activating their sensory acquisition, students are trained to fully exercise different senses like sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch; and children are encouraged to explore independently.

Yew Chung's Infant and Toddler Learning Programme (ITLP) was founded in 1996 on one principle: People of all ages should learn and grow from their experiences. This is very true for children. There is no distinction between work and play. To develop and foster the tremendous value of learning in our children, it is essential that every person who influences the child, including teachers, parents and domestic helpers, also learn and grow. It is by seeing through a child's eyes, and by learning new things ourselves, that we as adults can become effective role models. In ITLP, children become better equipped to face the significant challenges that inevitably lie before them.

Our classrooms are child-centered bilingual environments - they are designed to foster independent exploration, creative learning and social contact with peers.
